Hi, I’m Dan. A long time ago I visited Greece and fell in love with the country — the sea, the light, the cats, the food, and especially its unhurried rhythm.

Travel became harder for me after a stroke, but Greece never really left. Greece by Dan is my way of staying close to it: researching small stories, finding quieter places, and creating a corner of the internet that feels a little less rushed.

Some visual scenes I create for my videos are AI-illustrated rather than documentary footage. When they are, I say so. The places, history and practical travel details are researched with care.

Take it slow

There is a Greek word I keep coming back to: χαλαρά — loosely, “take it easy.” That is the spirit of this site. Not seeing everything. Seeing something properly.
